Austin "Imp" body for the long Austin 7 chassis. 1932 to 1939

The Austin 7 Imp is more practical for touring than an Austin Seven Ulster replica, and has more room and costs considerably less to build. It is designed for Ruby running gear which has the advantages of a 4-speed gearbox, a Hardy Spicer propeller shaft, improved brakes and stronger wheels.

The glass fibre kit includes the wings, the Radiator cowl, all of the bonnet panels and the seat frames. The cowl avoids the cost of plating.

The Ruby petrol tank, exhaust system, instruments and modified Ruby windscreen avoid the expense of special parts.

The spare wheel is mounted horizontally in the tail. There is enough luggage space to take a small suitcase measuring 21” x 15” x 9” and a flexible overnight bag.

(It has had non standard running boards added.)

The price of the Austin 7 Imp kit is £2645
